Job Description:
As the Chief of Staff at Wright Electric, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the CEO in driving the company's mission forward. You will serve as a key liaison between the CEO, departments, and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication, collaboration, and execution of strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of warmth, friendliness, and enthusiasm, coupled with exceptional organizational and leadership skills.
What Success Looks Like
This person will be the “right hand person” to the CEO, anticipating issues before they come up, proactively addressing them, responding to time sensitive requests, and identifying new opportunities for Wright. This person will receive a project brief in clipped sentences and be expected to turn these half-instructions into a fully-polished, professional project in record time. This person is enthusiastic, proactive, pulls in resources, and does whatever is needed to help the cause. The ideal candidate will have had experience across all parts of running a business, from sales to operations, office administration to investor strategy. This person might have been a previous manager of a non-profit, or worked at a consulting firm, or run a small business, or managed a political campaign, or a combination of these and others. The ideal candidate has tremendous experience, insights, poise, and executive function.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Support: Provide high-level strategic support to the CEO and executive team, including conducting research, preparing presentations, and facilitating decision-making processes.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, partners, and regulatory bodies.
- Project Management: Manage special projects and initiatives on behalf of the CEO, ensuring timely execution and delivery of key milestones.
- Communication Facilitation: Serve as a primary point of contact for communication between the CEO and internal/external stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication channels.
- Conflict Resolution: Address conflicts and challenges as they arise, employing a diplomatic and proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Strategic Planning: Assist in the development and execution of the company's long-term strategic plans, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
Requirements:
- Minimum of seven years of work experience in a leadership or management role.
- Proven track record of success in roles such as Consultant, Community Organizer, Client Services Director, Customer Support Representative, Director of Partnerships, Congressional Aide, Non-Profit Manager, Self-Employed Multiple-Jobs-Juggler, or Chief of Staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm and approachable demeanor.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional writing skills and grammar.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment and lead by example.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
- Knowledge of the aviation industry or sustainable technology is a plus.
